At the High Court in Glasgow on 9 September 2019, Lady Rae sentenced Robert McGivern to life imprisonment with a punishment part of 20 years after the accused was found guilty of the murder of Ross McLaren-Gow.

HMA v Reigh David Findlay Braidwood

Sentencing Statements

At the High Court in Edinburgh today, 5 September 2019, Lord Pentland imposed an extended sentence of seven years on Reigh Braidwood after the accused was convicted of the rape of a 15-year-old girl and other sexual offences. The custodial part will be five years, which will be followed by an extension period of two years on licence.
