In cases where there is public interest or where the sentence may be complicated or controversial, the judge may decide to make the sentencing statement more widely available.  You can read the judge’s full statement here once sentence has been passed.  If you would like to receive these as soon as they are issued sign up for RSS feeds.

The Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland invites applications from suitably qualified individuals who wish to be considered for appointment to the office of Senator of the College of Justice by April 2016. The Judicial Office for Scotland has informed the Board that there will be three positions available.
