At the High Court in Edinburgh today, 29 September 2016, Lady Scott sentenced Ronald Smith and Kristopher Marshall to four years imprisonment after both accused pled guilty to assaulting prison officers and wilful fire-raising within prison.

HMA v Francis Cassidy

At Livingston Sheriff Court today, 28 September 2016, Sheriff Susan Craig imposed an extended sentence of five years imprisonment on Francis Cassidy after the accused was found guilty of sexual offences against a child and other indecent assault charges. The custodial term will be four years followed by an extension period of one year on license.

At the High Court in Glasgow today, 28 September 2016, Lord Boyd of Duncansby sentenced Alisdair Grant to three years imprisonment after the accused pleaded guilty to causing the death of Gerrard Lewis by dangerous driving. The accused was also disqualified from driving for four years.
