Summary sheriff vacancies

Applications are now available for new summary sheriffs to be in post from March next year.

There are 16.6 full time equivalent vacancies across all sheriffdoms in Scotland which includes a number of part-time posts.

The Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland encourages applications from the widest possible range of eligible individuals and would particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups.

Further information, including eligibility criteria, guidance notes and the role profile can be found in the application pack, or from the Board’s Secretariat: Thistle House, 91 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HD; telephone 0131 528 5101; mailbox@jabs.gsi.gov.uk.

Completed, online applications should be submitted no later than midday on Wednesday 6 July. It is currently intended that interviews will take place between 1 and 9 November, at the Board’s offices. Selection is made solely on merit.
